A Fisherman’s Dream Come True

Built on a dock that extends into Pine Island Sound, staying “on the water” takes on its truest meaning at BridgeWater Inn.

Stay a few days, a week, or longer; we can’t be beat for location, value, and fantastic fishing!

Come by land or by sea – you can dock your boat room-side. Relax and unwind to the sound of gentle waves right outside your door.

Dolphin, manatee and an abundance of fish all share our waters. In fact, Field and Stream has rated the Pine Island area one of the nation’s best fishing spots.

Just an easy walk from the Inn, you’ll discover unique galleries, shops and terrific local dining.

Explore Matlacha

Matlacha, the gateway to Pine Island, is an historic fishing village and artist community that has a low-key casual atmosphere ideal for relaxing and exploring all that this “Country Waterfront” has to offer. Secluded and unique, we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Local restaurants specialize in fresh seafood, while art galleries and shops are known for their eclectic, funky items.

For all of that, Boating and Fishing is what we’re known the best for. You could literally spend weeks exploring Pine Island Sound and still not exhaust all the possibilities. Local waters are home to pods of Bottle-nose Dolphin and endangered Manatee (Gentle Giants also called Sea Cows).

Keep your eyes on the skies too, chances are good you’ll spot Osprey and Bald Eagle fishing right along with you!

Great fishing! We saw dolphins from the deck and had a good stay, with nice restaurants that we walked to from our room.
